If you know me at all, then you know I LOVE my crock pot! I actually have four different slow cookers and use them all the time for all different kinds of recipes – but this one, my crock pot chicken and stuffing will knock your socks off!
This recipe right here is good old comfort food at it’s best! Delicious chicken in a creamy sauce topped with stuffing – it doesn’t get much better than that!
If you are visiting this recipe it is likely that you are coming over from our wildly popular facebook video showing you how to make this Crock Pot Chicken and Stuffing. THANK YOU! I am so excited to find you all here and I hope that you have a chance to take a look around and find some more great recipes, tips, or crafts that you enjoy.
Since the facebook video has become so popular I have been asked over and over again for pictures of the finished product and a full recipe online. Well, today is the day-the recipe is available! I hope this makes it a bit easier for you to make this yummy dinner.
I will note that many of the comments on the recipe video have been talking about how much sodium is involved and I will tell you this up front – this is NOT a whole foods recipe. Many of the recipes that I do share with you ARE healthy and made with whole foods but this is not one of them. This recipe is hearty and filling and is definitely a comfort food. You can substitute many of the ingredients and make it your own if you are looking for something with lower sodium.

- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup of milk

Instructions
- In a 6-quart oval crock pot place your chicken breast along the bottom in a single layer. Add chicken broth and then top each chicken breast with one slice of cheese.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cream soups an milk. Add on top of chicken and cheese.
- Top with box of stuffing mix.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hrs or High for 4 hrs. Or until chicken is completely done.
- Serve with you choice of side. We usually serve this with green beans or broccoli and I get around 8 servings out of the pot, cutting the chicken breasts in half.

You can really use any type of stuffing mix that you like. There are all sorts of varieties out there.
For cheese, I usually use mozzarella, provolone, or jack – but again, you could also use a cheese with a stronger flavor like swiss.
Tip: Drizzle 1/4 – 1/2 cup chicken broth over the top of the stuffing to make it nice and moist all the way through.
I have shared the video to our youtube channel as well, so that you can easily see how I layer the ingredients in the pot.
