Yesterday we did a little impromptu crafting and made these fun Paper Plate Turkeys to add a little color to our Thanksgiving Decor.
To make them, you will need:
- Colored small paper plates (we happened to have green)
- Red construction paper
- Orange & Yellow Craft foam (you could also use construction paper, but I had the foam on hand)
- craft feathers
- googly eyes
- Elmers glue
I cut out each of the shapes needed (Body, feet, nose, and wattle), and two strips of red paper for the legs. I made up a sample and then let them put their turkeys together. The little one needed some help with the accordion legs but otherwise had no trouble assembling her turkey.
When we were done we set them aside to try and displayed them on the mantle. Gobble, Gobble!
