Throwing a Baby Shower this baby season? Why not host a diaper shower, with crazy fun diaper games?!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pampers and Luvs at Sam’s Club. The opinions and text are all mine.
When you have multiple children, it isn’t always necessary to have a baby shower – but that doesn’t mean you can’t throw a fabulous party to celebrate mom to be and new baby!
A diaper shower is the perfect alternative to a traditional baby shower, especially for moms with multiple children.
As I was nearing the end of my 4th pregnancy a fabulous group of mom friends decided I needed to have a party and threw a fabulous diaper shower that included the whole family! When you are preparing for your 4th child, not just mom and dad are excited to be a part of the baby’s new arrival but siblings are looking forward to it too!
A seasoned mom-to-be usually doesn’t need more STUFF for baby as they have most of it from previous children…but one thing they DO need (and a lot of them) is DIAPERS!
Having a diaper shower wasn’t just fun for the whole family to celebrate the impending arrival of a new baby…but it also supplied me diapers to last SIX MONTHS!
Now that this baby is almost two, I’ve run out of all the diapers from the diaper shower so I’ve found alternative ways to stock up on diapers – with my Sam’s Club Membership.
I wait for sales and plan it just right so that I can purchase enough boxes to last until the next time I need to stock up. Right now, through August 22 you can get $10 off the purchase of two Pampers or Luvs diapers or wipes items, or $18 off the purchase of three items AND free shipping or Club Pickup (where available).
With Club Pickup, I don’t even have to bother with the hassle of shopping with kids – I just order online and pickup in store! Club Pickup and the Sam’s Club Scan & Go app let busy parents and party planners bypass the register and make stocking up for baby season even easier.
If you are planning to shower a friend and mom-to-be with the ultimate party you will absolutely need to plan a Diaper Shower – and just because it isn’t a traditional baby shower doesn’t mean you can’t have some games!
In fact, the games we played at my diaper shower were crazy fun, and all the kids and moms had a blast!
CRAZY FUN DIAPER SHOWER GAMES
Blindfolded Diaper Changing
This game was fantastic! You put on a blindfold and try your hand at changing a diaper on a baby doll – perfect practice for those midnight changes.
Another fun twist to this game is speed diaper changing. See who can change a diaper the fastest!
Guess the Candy Bar
Another fun diaper shower game is, Guess the Candy Bar. For this game you simply melt fun sized chocolate candy bars in your Pampers and number them. Have each guest try to guess what type of candy bar is in each diaper.
And yes, the more interesting the candy bar ingredients, the funnier the game gets!! Add in something with nuts for texture and really get your guests laughing.
Late Night Diaper Notes
Send mom off with some humor to get her through all of those late night diaper changes. Have each of the guests write a humorous note with a permanent marker on the outside of a diaper – it just might lighten the mood and make her smile when she’s up for the 5th time in the wee hours of the morning.
What did you do for your baby shower? Did you have a shower for each child? I’d love to hear your favorite games and baby shower ideas!
