Spring around here means time to GET OUTSIDE and play! We love obstacle courses and this Easter Bunny Obstacle course is great for keeping them busy and working on gross motor skills.
Did you love our Leprechaun obstacle course that we put out last month? Well, if you did you are in luck. We created printable cards for a super fun Easter Bunny Obstacle Course too!
My kids are officially on Spring Break and we are loving the warming weather, sunshine, and playing outside! Building obstacle courses is one of their favorite outdoor activities so we keep seasonal cards on hand to prompt their imaginations and get them moving.
Indoor obstacle courses are just as fun and are a perfect boredom buster when the weather isn’t cooperating to go outside. After all, April showers bring May flowers! A few pillows and household items and they can maneuver their way through, crawling and hopping along.
GROSS MOTOR ACTIVITY
Use these cards to create an obstacle course, the cards each have a gross motor activities on them to complete before moving on to the next.
All you need to do is print the cards and set them out around the yard, on the field at school, or even in the living room if you can’t go outdoors.
If you are planning on using these multiple times I would definitely recommend laminating them, especially if you plan to use them outdoors.
One you have printed your cards, cut them out (and laminate them if you would like) and place them in your obstacle course. You can use the cards alone with the gross motor activities or you can add physical obstacles like a rope to jump over or tunnel to crawl through between cards.
Have the children line up at card number one and take turns going through the course. This can also be done in pairs, with the children working together to get through the course.
I also like to laminate all of my kids activity cards. You can find my laminator here:
