It’s that time of year again! Yes, schooooool’s out for summer! (I may or may not be singing that). And as usual, I think I might be more excited than the kids are. I’ll give them a break, they’re not quite old enough to really appreciate a great summer vacation.
I am a big gift giver and every year we like to give something to our fantastic teachers to say Thank You! Teachers really are amazing and they have such an impact on our children’s lives. If you find a good one, take a moment to express your gratitude.
This year we did a variation of our Summer Survival Kits from last year.
For these gifts I used a mason jar cold cup that I found at Wal-Mart. Mason Jars are all the rage right now and I just couldn’t pass up a cute patriotic sipper like this one. Talk about all American!
Inside I put some of the usual “Summer Survival” ingredients; a travel sized sunblock, chap stick, pack of gum, and a few individual ice tea drink packets. This year, I’ve also included gift cards to Starbucks and Barnes and Noble, so they can grab a book and their favorite beverage before heading out to enjoy the summer!
