New Year, New Resolutions…  And the first thing I always think of when the New Year rolls around is Organization. I go through the house and decide which areas I’d like to work on for the new year, which usually involves much of the kids rooms and the kitchen – the most used rooms in the house.  When I organize, I likely will be purchasing new containers and such to use for the organization methods.  After going through and deciding what I will be organizing and which products I will need to make that happen, then I can jump in and get it done!  I have a few tried and true organization and storage solutions and I’m sharing them with you.  Below you will find everything you need to get organized in 2015.

Everything You Need to Get Organized

Life Organizer Calendar and Menu Planner – First things first, you must get yourself organized and that means writing it all down, from appointments to family meals.  I have a ton of reasons why menu planning is so important and I was very excited to come across this Menu Planner and Organizing Calender from Mama Miss.  You can purchase her items as a bundle or each individually to keep you on track for the new year.

Toy Storage –  With all of the new items the kids received for Christmas, it is probably time for some toy storage solutions.  Get everything sorted and organized and easily accessible with these toy storage bin.

Wood Cubicle Storage for the Family Room – I love these wood storage units and fabric bins in our family room.  It neatly puts all of the kids toys and supplies away but still aesthetically pleasing to the house decor.

Garage Shelving – I use tall shelving units in my garage.  I tend to do quite a bit of shopping in bulk and there really isn’t room to keep it all in my kitchen pantry.  Tall shelving units are great because they don’t take up a ton of floor space and can hold a lot of supplies.

Small Stackable Bins – I absolutely love these small stackable bins to use for everything from snacks in the pantry to under the kitchen sink.  You keep everything neatly sorted into compartments but keep them easy to get to.

Clear Plastic Shoeboxes – I must have hundreds of these clear plastic shoe boxes throughout my home and garage.  We use them to sort out small kids toys, puzzles, games, medicines, batteries, etc.  You can easily keep items separated and put away but also access them quickly since you can see what is in them.

Over the Door Shoe Organizer –  I use over the door organizers for just about everything except for shoes!  The small pockets make access to craft items, bathroom supplies, accessories, winter gear, etc.  super easy and convenient.

Large Stacking Storage Bin –  These large storage bins house all of my seasonal decor.  We have them color coded so that all the Christmas decor is in Red/Green, Halloween and Fall is in Orange, Valentine’s Day is in Pink, and so on.  They are large enough to hold a significant amount and stack neatly on top of one another.

Drawer Dividers – I don’t just use drawer dividers for the silverware.  Drawer dividers work great in dresser, office, and bathroom drawers as well as the kitchen.  You can separate out small bathroom items such as jewelry or hair ties, and use them in dressers or other drawers to hold socks, underwear, and small household items such as batteries, paper clips, and pens.

Plastic Baskets – As much as I use the stackable bins and plastic shoe boxes for the smaller items, I love these plastic baskets for the larger items.  I use them under the bathroom sink for cleaning products and hair brushes and in the kitchen cabinets for things like water bottles and the kids dinnerware.  They hold quite a bit but are still open for easy acces.

Large Wicker Baskets –  I use large wicker baskets throughout the house for holding bigger items such as shoes by the front door, or dog toys in the family room.  They are pretty to look at but easy to use when cleaning up.

Drawer dividers! I've seen them used, but never really thought about it. This is a useful (to me!) tip--I'm putting it on my shopping list for both my bathroom and my bedroom drawers. Stopped by from SITS Saturday Sharefest; thanks for (finally) getting this great idea into my head!

I love plastic storage bins. To help organize 2015 I purchased the NeatDesk scanner and I am loving it. The best part about the end of the year is planning on organizing for the coming year. :) Visiting from SITS. Have a great weekend.
