When I need a little me time or an afternoon pick-me-up I head straight for a cup of joe. I’m a busy mom of four so me time is often hard to find and indulgences are pretty non existent.
Every afternoon, roughly 2pm, just before I head out to pick up the kids from school I like to make my self a cup of coffee and enjoy it – alone.
Well, to be honest, sometimes I take it to go and sip on it while I’m waiting in the car pick up line. Either way, it’s the perfect break before all the evening events start.
I’ll admit, I’m usually one to just have a plain old cup of coffee – maybe a bit of cream – but sometimes I like to indulge myself with something a little more fancy like a latte or a mocha. As part of our family budget, though, we save a ton of money every month by making our own coffee drinks at home!
