Once upon a time, in a land far far away there was a girl who spent her Sundays dancing on a field in front of 50,000 people…wait, just kidding, it was me and it wasn’t all that far away, it was in Arizona. Most of you may not know a little secret about me. Long before I started this website and posting all about parenting and family fun, I worked for an NFL team – the Arizona Cardinals – and I was a cheerleader!
Fast forward 10 years and four kids later, my ‘uniform’ may have changed but I’m still cheering on my team every Sunday. In fact, I have a house full of Cardinals fans cheering them on. And we do it in style – mother/daughter style – because who says football is just for boys?!
Football is a big part of our family, obviously. I grew up cheering and then followed that passion on into adulthood where I was fortunate to spend four years cheering for the Arizona Cardinals. It was during that time I met my husband and when we got married and started a family there was no doubt we’d be raising Cardinals fans. Now I have a son who plays football and dreams of playing in the NFL one day. But ok, enough reminiscing and back to my new Sunday ‘uniform’ – our mother/daughter NFL fan style.
Since football in our house isn’t just about the boys, the girls all get decked out in their fan style too! Unfortunately, we don’t live near enough to our team to go to the stadium for the games so we watch from home as a family. Most often the girls and I are rocking a pair of leggings and our Cardinal Red.
Since we live out of state, and our local stores don’t carry our favorite Cardinal gear, we do all of our NFL fan gear shopping on NFLshop.com. I can dress the entire family – head to toe – in Cardinal red with the huge selection of apparel and accessories on their site.
Yes, even the baby wears her Cardinal red!
We are super excited that our Cardinals are making a run towards the playoffs this year! Although I won’t be cheering from the sidelines, I can guarantee our house will be a sea of red and cheering loudly! Go Cards!
