Whip up a quick breakfast with these Pumpkin homemade pop tarts!
Fall is officially here I am so excited because not only does that mean cozy sweaters and changing leaves bu it also means I get to start using one of my favorite ingredients ever, pumpkin purée, for fall baking. I use this ingredient in so many delicious fall treats like these amazing pumpkin homemade pop tarts!
Pumpkin purée is a must for all of your fault baking needs. You can usually find it int he baking isle near the pie fillings. This time of year it is usually set out with the Thanksgiving displays as well.
We of course, use the pumpkin purée in your traditional pumpkin pie but there are so many pumpkin spice recipes that you can use it for as well. It is so versatile I use pumpkin purée to make my famous two ingredient pumpkin muffins that the kids just love. I also use it when making my crockpot pumpkin spice latte that is a hit all my fall gatherings.
Now, back to the pumpkin recipe that brought you here today. Today I’m going to show you how to make this super easy breakfast pastry!
You might remember over the summer I shared with you my blueberry homemade pop tarts breakfast pastry. Yep, it’s a copycat pop tart that you can make it home!
This recipe for pumpkin homemade pop tarts is just as easy as those blueberry Pop tart breakfast pastries but this time with the fall twist. You can even make the Pumpkin homemade pop tarts in your Air Fryer – they are the perfect breakfast treat to whip up for the family.
With only a couple of ingredients, not only are they super easy to make but they also make a great cooking with kids recipe too. My kids love to get creative in the kitchen and this is one of those recipes that I know they can do pretty much all on their own from start to finish.
Pumpkin Homemade Pop Tarts
Ingredients
- Pre-Made Pie Crust
- 15oz Can Pumpkin
- 1/3 Cup Milk
- 1 Tbs Pumpkin Spice
- Vanilla Icing
- Sprinkles
- 2 Eggs
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, add pumpkin, 1 egg, milk & pumpkin spice.
- Mix well.
- Roll out the pie crust and cut out 3 inch rectangles.
- Place 1 Teaspoon of pumpkin mixer on every other rectangle.
- Place a rectangle on top of the pumpkin rectangles & press edges together with a fork.
- Egg wash each rectangle.
- Place in air fryer for 5-8 minutes on 375. These fry really quick so keep an eye on them! *If you don’t have an air fryer you can pop these in the oven at *350 for 8-10 minutes*
- Remove from air fryer and smother in icing.
- Sprinkle the tops with your favorite seasonal sprinkles
- Serve & enjoy!
