Event though our weather is supposed to be back up in the 90’s this weekend, we did get a break from our late summer this week and I was able to get out our Fall decorations. I love to have little seasonal touches around the house this time of year, and the family appreciates it as well. These Simple Autumn Decorating Ideas are easy to add to any decor and budget friendly too.
Wire mesh is great for creating garland. This roll of copper colored mesh was less that $5 and I had enough to create garland over the door, the wreath, and have some left over.
To create the front porch décor as shown I use wire mesh, burlap ribbon, and one strand of fall leaves. All of these supplies can be found at craft stores.
*Hint: Use floral wire to tie back your mesh in spots to give it the “bunched” look.
The wreath was created by updating a summer wreath I already had. I used floral wire to tie the copper mesh and dollar store leaves to the twigs.
On either side of the door I placed mums into gold pumpkin planters. These pumpkins are easy to make and budget friendly as well. You can see the tutorial HERE.
Inside the house I added more of the dollar store leaf garland and floral stems. Leaf garland is perfect for the mantle and adds that beautiful fall color. To add more the autumn feel we placed raffia into a mason jar along with bright colorful fall flowers.
The dinging table was completed with a table runner (you can make your own to match any theme using our tutorial HERE), leaf garland, and a bowl of mini pumpkins and gourds. (The glitter pumpkins were found in the target dollar bin.)
