Countdown to Christmas with these beautiful DIY Advent Calendars
Homemade holidays are the best way to celebrate! Christmas is just a bit more special when you take the time to make your decorations and gifts yourself.
I have had wonderful feedback from our 20 Gifts in a Jar and now we are sharing fun Advent Calendars you can make yourself.
Oh how I love the season of Advent. As a child, one of our family traditions was the Advent Calendar. We had a lovely cloth calendar with pockets, made by my mother, and each morning we would wake and run to check to see what was inside. It’s no surprise that I carry on this tradition with my own children, with a pocket calendar, made by me.
Advent Calendars are such a wonderful tradition to start with your family and there are so many options for making one unique to your home. You can really use what you have at home, or items from nature and they do not have to be extravagant. Sometimes simplicity rules. Advent Calendars put the focus on the preparation for Christmas and the little ones will look forward to their daily surprise.
