Sometimes you just need to paint for the sake of getting messy. Although these stamps could be used to make some really cool artwork, we used them to just have a little messy fun.
My grandmother used to make these stamps for me as a child and since we had a few leftover potatoes in the cupboard I thought the Wunderkids would have a blast with them. I was right!
We rolled out some craft paper on the table and they went to work.
The Potato stamps are easy to make and all you need is a sharp knife. Simply cut the potato in half, cut the outline of the shape into the potato, and then cut a rim around the shape.
We enjoy using lots of alternative items to paint with. It sure can be fun to explore different textures! What is your favorite way to paint?
