Plan the perfect, kid-friendly, 4th of July Party with these patriotic crafts, foods, and activities!
Independence Day is one of my favorite days of celebration. Family, Friends, Food, and of course, FIREWORKS!
I love throwing parties, and even better if it’s a patriotic affair! You can really have some summer fun with themed foods and crafts, American Flag decorations and of course friends to celebrate with.
I look forward to our 4th of July Celebration all summer and weather we are spending it at the beach or the pool, or a good old fashioned backyard BBQ, we always deck ourselves out with our favorite red, white, and blue apparel and decor.
I like to get the kids in on the fun too – they love to make their T-shirts and hats, ribbon wands and fun decorations. When I plan four our 4th of July Party I always make sure to have plenty of activities ready for the kids.
Pro-tip for the eventing hours: Set the kids up with a goodie bag to entertain them while they wait for the fireworks show to start!
4th of July Crafts for Kids
The kids can have a great time preparing for their 4th of July celebration with fun crafts. Our favorite is straw painted “fireworks” shirts that are a great activity AND fun to wear for their fireworks celebration.
A 4th of July Tutu , Ribbon Wands and a kid made Patriotic Hat will complete their outfits.
Red, White and Blue Patriotic Decorations
A 4th of July Party just isn’t complete without red, white and blue patriotic decorations. You can have the kids help out with too!
A kid-made paper plate patriotic wreath is perfect for the front door and a patriotic bunting is great along the front porch or back patio. Hang some Tin Can Windsocks from the trees and your party decor is complete – and KID made!
Patriotic Party Games
Kids and grown-ups alike will love these fun patriotic party games! Set up an American Flag Punch Pinata for some fun prizes or treats.
Set up a kids crafts station to create take home 4th of July Art projects.
If you’re going for that old-fashioned Americana theme at your party then a patriotic ring toss game is a must!
Serve up Patriotic Food and Drinks
Serve up your friends the best with a patriotic flare like All American Hot Dogs, Watermelon Pops, and a Patriotic Pasta Salad
Wow your guests with a fun science experiment – layered Patriotic Punch is tasty and so cool to see!
For dessert your guest will love these 4th of July chocolate covered strawberries, Patriotic Tie-Dye Cake, or Waffle Cone Ice Cream Sandwiches.
Do you have a favorite 4th of July Party tradition or Recipe? I’d love to know what it is!
