Deck the halls this year with Farmhouse Christmas Decorations that are actually affordable!
I just love decorating my home with a rustic or vintage Farmhouse style. This time of year I’m all about the Farmhouse Christmas Decorations too!
A farmhouse Christmas tree and some simple decorations full of warmth and texture is just what any home needs to make their home Cozy for the Holidays.
Many of my decorations are inspired by what you might find in your memories – that cabin you visited with your family, the trip to the Christmas tree farm searching for the perfect tree, or making those amazing cinnamon ornaments with your grandmother.
Decorations that bring memories and inspire feelings is what my goal is for holiday decorating and that is exactly what I find with Farmhouse Christmas Decorations.
Budgeting For Christmas
The last thing I want to do at Holiday time is waste my budget on new decorations.
As much as I want my home to FEEL the spirit of Christmas and invoke special memories, spending the money that I’ve saved for christmas on extra pillows and ornaments just isn’t what I’m all about.
When it comes to decorating my home for the holidays I always look for things that fit with the style and feeling that I’m going for but also things that won’t break the bank, either.
Farmhouse Christmas Decorations that are actually affordable
Using items that you might already find in your home like pillows and blankets is a great place to start when decorating your home.
You can also add in touches of natural items like pine cones that the kids have collected, dried orange slices, and cinnamon sticks.
Start your decorating with the tree, the focal point for any holiday decorating.
Mason Jar ornaments and a large spool of burlap ribbon will go a long way in your decorating. Farmhouse christmas decorations are often so simple so adding a box of plain bulbs is the perfect touch.
Warm up the living room with farmhouse christmas pillow covers. Pillow covers are great because they are less expensive and you can place them on your existing throw pillows. Plus, they’re easier to store!
Add in a buffalo plaid blanket to your couch or chair for a touch of color and function.
A burlap christmas banner, hung across the fireplace, is the perfect way to tie in all those living room farmhouse christmas decorations.
Bring the christmas decorations into the kitchen with a galvanized metal tray, a great play to set up hot cocoa.
Add simple, rustic table top trees to the entry table.
Swap out your wall art with an iconic red christmas truck sign and hang rag garland instead of the traditional greenery.
Use rustic farmhouse lanterns and candles as a cost effective way to fill in the shelves and table tops, adding just the perfect amount of warm lighting to go with the glow of the Christmas tree.
If you want something super budget friendly, grab a can of that fake spray snow and update the trees and pine garland that you already own!
Happy Holidays and Enjoy that lovely farmhouse christmas home!
