Start a new tradition this year with a Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt for Kids
A few years ago I started doing a fun scavenger hunt for kids as part of our Valentine’s Day celebration. It has turned into such a fun family tradition that the kids look forward to each year.
For the Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt, I write out ‘clues’ on paper hearts and hide them throughout the house. After dinner, I pass out the first clue and the kids have a great time searching for their gift! We don’t do big gifts, just something small like a book or fun cup and a box of conversations hearts.
So many people have loved this idea that I’ve decided to make printable clues for the hunt. The clues are geared toward an early elementary age group. The clues aren’t super fancy but you can print and cut them out and then decorate them if you’d like.
Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt
The clues are written in order and are fairly easy to figure out – they are geared towards the pre-school and early elementary aged crowd, although my older elementary aged kids still love this too!
Just print out your scavenger hunt clues
Once you’ve printed your clues, cut them out and hide them!
Here is the location of the clues in order:
- hand child(ren) the first clue after dinner
- taped under a seat at the dining table
- inside the dishwasher
- taped to the back of the TV
- inside the fruit drawer of the refrigerator
- in the bathtub
- Mom and Dad have the gifts!
I hope your family enjoys this tradition as much as mine does!
Don’t forget to make your own shirt for Valentine’s Day!
